Today is the official start to the I.R.S. 2013 Tax Season. We want to compile a list of payments dates for our users to see to better help them determine the date that they will get their refund. So we pose the question, "When did you get your refund 2014?"
We would like everyone to reply to this post with the date that their refund was accepted and the date that I.R.S. has set for their direct deposit or check. To find out this date, you will need to visit the I.R.S. Where's My Refund webpage.
Optionally, we would also like you to post the date that your state refund, what state, and when your state finance department gives your refund date. To find out this, visit our Where's My State Refund page.
Please comment below with Federal Acceptance Date, Federal Payout Date, (optional) State Acceptance Date, State, and State Acceptance Date.

ReplyDeleteMy accepted date was 01/26/14. From the info I am getting online I SHOULD have it direct deposited by 02/05/14. IRS website says it once it is accepted, leave yourself 10 days to have the direct deposit sent out. I think I will get mine on Feb 5th or maybe sooner. I HOPE!!!!

Filed fed on 1/24 accepted 1/28 and says I will have my refund BY February 6th... what does it mean by BY?? Thats a new one
ReplyDeleteLaura, it means February 5th. They want to make sure and give the banks a chance to handle the deposit load. This way you don't call the I.R.S. griping on February 5th. Just watch your bank account online and I am sure it will show up early February 5th. :)

ReplyDeleteNo. Processing means that they are reviewing your return for errors and will give you a status in the next week or so.

ReplyDeleteWell i filed on the 15th was accepted on the 28 and still have no date for deposit i went through jackson hewitt starting to think that was a mistake being i see people on here who filed after me and have a deposit date when i filed almost two weeks earlier them them.

ReplyDeleteMy acceptance was 1/24 @ 00:18 .. IRS says acceptance and refund set for 2/6 .. So looking at tues/wed which falls into line with previous years.
ReplyDeleteYes. Many many people have. It's not filing dependents that is holding you up. It is normally school, medical, itemized vs. standard deductions, and business expenses that hold tax returns up.

I have three dependents and filed on the 29th and i still dont have a deposit day its been saying processing since the 31st. I was woundering if its becouse i have 3yall dependents and can anyone tell me if they know if thats it???
ReplyDeleteI don't think that has a factor in anything. I have 3 dependents too and have a deposit date of the 6th. I filed hella early though.

ReplyDeleteLavinia, they actually began accepting returns on January 24th, 2014. They didn't publicize it, but we know of several hundred individuals personally who were accepting on that day.

I live in TN. I did mine on Jan. 24th and it was accepted on the 28th. I still don't have a refund date. I used Turbo tax. The first round of refunds will be issued on feb. 6th.

ReplyDeleteWho is affected by the tax refund delays?
The IRS is currently stating this is a system wide computer update which affects all tax returns filed before January 26th, regardless of who filed, how they filed, or which type of software they use. What this means to the tax payer is that contacting your accountant of software provider won’t do anything to speed up your return, since this is on the IRS side of the house.
As of right now, the delays are only affecting tax payers who filed their tax returns before January 26, 2012. Taxpayers who filed their returns on or after January 26th should still receive their tax return according to the

ReplyDeleteI actually filed through Jackson Hewitt and had them take the fees out then print me a check, the IRS deposited the funds in the banks possession so they can take out the fees then they send the remaining amount to the Jackson Hewitt office to print check to give to me, on the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC of San Diego, CA website https://cisc.sbtpg.com/ you log in with your filing status amount and SSN and it gives you the break down of fees taken out as well as the date the IRS sent the funds to the bank. Which I was approved for my refund on Jan 28th and they deposited the amount to bank on Feb 6th like advised and i should get my printed check today or tomorrow. Hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteFrom years of past experience I have noticed Tha deposits made to a credit union show up the day the irs states it is deposited but when it is deposited to a bank there is no sign of it for a few days

ReplyDeleteFiled through h&r block on the 31st (e-file). Irs received it on feb 3rd. And have dd of feb 10th (monday). Btw, I think they update the where's my refund more often. Cuz I checked round 1am this morning and it was still just received. Checked again bout 3pm, for craps n giggles n it said approved with the dd date. Hope this helps.
